comments: Most wingfics fall into the "give him wings with NO EXPLANATION" trap, which is what turns me off from the majority of them - this one doesn't. It doesn't explain much, but it goes with the territory, as the main character isn't sure of what's going on either. You feel the confusion (and fascination) along with him. I'm sure there will be more explanation once the author continues with the series (hinthint), but this installment can stand on its own, anyway. It's light-hearted, sexy, and a lot of fun.

comments: To me, the wings feel more like a state of mind for Britney than actual wings sprouting from her back. When you're young, you have no shame, you laugh freely and say and do silly things and the world is so much fun. You don't have that kind of freedom when you're older and you have to worry about what other people think. I won't spoil the ending, but it had me starry-eyed. Truly lovely fic.

comments: I've never been as fond of the LOTR series (or its actors) as the rest of the fanfiction world, but this fic was so absorbing that I couldn't stop reading until there was no more story to tell. Wingfic that is not only well-written, not only has a reason, but is so seeped in the little details that make a fic worth reading that I recommend this fic to EVERYONE, whether you're into the fandom or not (which I'm not, so you can imagine how much this fic blew me away!), whether you're into the genre or not (ditto). Trust me - it's interesting if nothing else.
