comments: T__________________________T I'll never forgive Mynx for making me go T________T over Kid fucking Kash. But god, this fic just gives me such a lump in my throat. There are fics that are enmeshed in canon, that are very much a fanfic, and then there are fics, like this one, that almost transcend fanfic. It taps into something universal, almost a collective unconscious. This story is about disappointment, rejection, living and learning, maturing without the necessity of gaining a happy ending. Bittersweet, but not tragic. Just life.

comments: Sometimes one can say so much in so little words, and Twig accomplishes that here. This fic is like a song told in prose, lyrical and lovely and bittersweet. There's no great problem to be solved, no great mystery or drama - only basic human emotion, something everyone can relate to. People can say that fanfiction is written as an escape from reality, but in reality, there needs to be more fanfiction like this.
